Dr. Timothy Leary famously spoke of the ways in which psychedelic experiences are shaped ad much by (mind)set and setting as they are by pharmacology. (Dosage.)  For our ancestors, set and setting were largely products of their relationships with the rest of the living world/ What happens when the psychedelic commons are privatized and the control of set and setting is put strictly in the hands of the people and corporations that operate clinics, churches, and retreat centers?  We explore that question and the case for asking trees and stones and rivers to be our "psychedelic guides" instead of letting humans and human institutions set the agenda;
