TANYA DONATELLI

Tanya Donatelli currently works at North Spore making tinctures, packing dried mushrooms, and managing inventory. She also runs a small business called Oak Fairy Apothecary, which focuses on providing community with locally sourced herbs, mushrooms, & educational content. In 2022, she taught classes on medicinal mushrooms and tincture making at North Spore, Moon Mama Herbals, Mycology Outside, & Fantastic Forage. She also participated as a vendor at the Maine Fungi Fest, Gray Farmer's Market, and Terra Marketplace.

Tanya was born in Ringwood, NJ and now resides in Gray, ME. She has been formally studying herbalism since 2018 and has since earned over 700+ hours of study through coursework and apprenticeships at Twin Star Herbal Education. Tanya graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 2009, and formerly worked as a free-lance location scout for film and television shows in NYC. She finds immense joy in foraging and loves to share her knowledge of medicinal plants and fungi with others.

At the 2023 Maine Fungi Fest, Tanya will be teaching a class and doing a demonstration on how to make a double extracted medicinal mushroom tincture. She is very excited and honored to be a part of this year's fest!
